The Good Weekend

Journal Entry: Sun Feb 3, 2008, 9:36 PM
  • Listening to: The Airborne Toxic Event
  • Reading: Thomas Pynchon's V
  • Watching: nothing
  • Playing: my guitar and other music instruments
  • Eating: fried rice
  • Drinking: water
Well, this has been probably the best weekend of the entire senior year and possibly of high school.

This weekend my school had its winter formal which was fun, especially when the DJ played a ten minute techno song. I also slow danced with one girl, and I was a complete dunce because it was the first time I did a slow dance, but I still had a blast. I should of ran for prince though. It was only one guy running and the guy was one of those people that half the school hates and so on. (hint: he works at an In-N-Out)

The finals are over and tomorrow I'll be starting a new semester(commercial guitar) and some harder classes (calculus at CC). Now, it's getting closer to see whether I get into UC Berkeley or UCLA. I'm bracing for the impact but chances are that I'll get into one of them.

Oh, on Saturday I discovered a new band, The Airborne Toxic Event. It's a new band that has really good music. Hopefully, I'll go to one of their concerts before they release an album.

Then New York Giants won the Super Bowl. Did anyone see that sack on Brady in the last minutes? That was harsh.

Pretty Good So Far

  • Listening to: The Fratellis
  • Reading: Only Revolutions and Shakespeare Sonnet 130
  • Watching: nothing
  • Playing: my guitar and other music instruments
  • Eating: a good sandwich
  • Drinking: water
Just checking in on my journal.

Today, I drew a little and I'll have it up later in the week when my friend scans it for me (I can never find a scanner).

Sunday, I went to a party and sang karaoke 0.o I was basically singing na na na na na... to "It's the End of the World" by REM. And I will kill whoever wrote "Killing Me Softly" and "Complicated;" they both must've been played at least ten times each.

Tomorrow's Halloween and I'll probably be a rock star with an air guitar. :)

I'll try to post a story that I written about two weeks ago even though I'm reluctant to post stories here. I think that no one will pick it up to be published so I'll just post it up asap. Kay till next time

New music and update i guess

Journal Entry: Mon Aug 27, 2007, 2:26 PM
  • Listening to: Bach's Cello Suite 1
  • Reading: Heart of Darkness
  • Watching: nothing
  • Playing: my guitar and other music instruments
  • Eating: a slice of pizza from last week
  • Drinking: water
Recently, I've been coming more and more familiar with classical music, especially Mozart's Requiem. There's something special about classical music that you can't get with today's music and vice versa.

Someone please tell me if there's anything emo about The Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. and no not the name because this heart is more about going into mystery of human psyche in my opinion. Really great book except for the large three page paragraphs.

Read "Notes from Underground" it's awesome. "I am a sick man...I am a wicked man."

My life (as of yet)

Journal Entry: Tue Jul 31, 2007, 10:06 AM
  • Listening to: The Smiths "Louder than Bombs" cd
  • Reading: Heart of Darkness
  • Watching: nothing
  • Playing: nothing
  • Eating: nothing
  • Drinking: water
It has been so long since I came to this site because I'm just really tired I guess. I've stopped drawing and started painting more which I find much better to do with my time. The other day I was listening to the smith's cd and I could not believe i haven't heard of them until I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I was able to connect with those songs a lot. Especially "Unloveable." I'm also writing a short novel as of right now. The only problem is that I procrastinate too much when it comes to copying down what i write in my notebook onto the computer. It's just really boring. and no, don't tell me to just write it on a computer because it's not the same. Well, until next time. (when my medicine comes;)).

Probably the week where i did the most thinking

Journal Entry: Sun May 20, 2007, 8:02 PM
  • Listening to: Across the Universe
  • Reading: Science fiction short stories
  • Watching: Simpsons
  • Playing: nothing
  • Eating: nothing
  • Drinking: water
You see the subject( to the people that ever read this)
Anyways, a friend close to me asked me to a Sadie Hawkins dance on Friday and it wasn't until today I said I would go. After I was popped the question, I just sat down and listened to "Across the Universe" over and over and that was the first time I understood the lyrics to the song.
Also just right now, i invented a new acronym: IYO (in your opinion,) I never seen anyone use it before and a friend of mine is trying to claim it but it doesn't matter since people will forget about IYO after 2 months and no one will use it again. So any ways see you soon.
